Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 May 2026 · Read these carefully — they govern your use of Romio.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Romio in any form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the service.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must provide accurate, truthful information.
  • You must use the service in your own name — no impersonation.
  • You must comply with the laws of your country of residence.

3. Your account

You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your phone number and OTP secure. Notify us immediately at contact@romio.live if your account is compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Share illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools
  • Engage in scams, phishing, or solicit money outside our platform
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to break the app's security
  • Use the service for spam, unsolicited promotion, or commercial purposes without permission

Violation may result in immediate, permanent ban without refund.

5. Coins, payments, refunds

  • Coins are virtual currency with no real-world cash value outside the app.
  • Coin purchases are final and non-refundable, except where law requires otherwise.
  • Coins do not expire while your account is active.
  • Creator earnings are paid out per the Creator Agreement, after applicable platform fees and taxes.
  • We may change coin pricing or rates with at least 14 days' notice.

6. User content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Romio a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service for as long as your account exists.

We may remove any content that violates these terms or our community guidelines.

7. Intellectual property

The Romio name, logo, design, code, and all related materials are owned by us or our licensors. You may not use them without written permission.

8. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages, force majeure, or technical issues may affect availability.

9. Termination

You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Privacy → Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Wallet balance forfeits on termination for cause.

10. Disclaimers

Romio is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that you will find a match, friendship, or relationship. We do not vet every user beyond OTP verification — use your judgment when meeting people online or in person.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Romio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Romio harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via in-app banner and email. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
